The Birthday Girl!

This is what Caroline woke up to! Presents and balloons galore! :) Well, all of the balloons except for the mylar ones...

And the cheerful birthday girl herself! We were on our way to pick up the aforementioned mylar balloons for little miss.

Mission accomplished! Now hand them over, Dad!

I took the balloons away so that we could get a picture of my two favorite Guam Geibs. See Caroline's 'Baby's First Birthday' onesie? Too cute!

When the time came to open presents, Caroline was determined to open them... one mouthful at a time!

Here she is opening her baby doll from her Waco grandparents, Harry & Judy.

She loves her doll! She especially loves taking the pacifier out of the baby's mouth and putting it back in. Art imitating life?!

Here she is playing with the puzzle that her Aunt AnnaBeth and Uncle Adam got her.

Still working...

Ta-da! All done!

Checking out her toys. The one she is touching in this picture is her 'My First Purse' that comes with a cell phone, keys, mirror and stuffed animal. It is SO cute!

And here she is with her new laptop computer from Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Federico. To say she loves it is an understatement!

At first she was doubtful... a laptop computer... for her?!

I showed her how to use the laptop, but I think she was already pretty familiar with what to do since she watches me update the blog so often!

She began "typing."

She quickly mastered typing with her hands and moved on to typing with her feet.

The Gloworm Seahorse from her Austin grandparents (Andrew & Vicky) and Aunt Katy did a great job of finally stealing away her attention! She likes to sleep with the Seahorse in her crib.

Here she is inspecting all of her loot...

she didn't miss a detail!

Here's the Laugh and Learn table that we got her. It plays a lot of really cute music and she loves it! Bentley seems to be sad that her attention is drifting away from him!

The present her Houston Grandparents (Jeff & Lisa) got her was WAY taller than her. She was quite perplexed and a little intimidated by this.

I had to help her unwrap it. As you can see, Bentley was very curious as to what was in that big of a box! What was in it? A Fisher Price House for Toddlers! It has so many bells and whistles that it will certainly keep Caroline quite entertained!

After all of that present opening, Caroline worked up quite the appetite, so we presented her with a cupcake. We should have taken a before picture but didn't... oops!

Caroline is totally a fan of cupcakes. Totally.

This is just about the only smile I got out of her. She was SO SERIOUS about eating that cupcake as fast as she could that smiles were hard to come by.

This picture really captures the whole "do NOT take this cupcake away from me" vibe she had going on.

And she's done!

Now on to the videos:

Here is Caroline with her new laptop computer:

Here is Caroline with her Playhouse: (She couldn't wait until her dad was done putting it together before playing with it!)

I think it's safe to say that Caroline loves cupcakes. She loves them so much that she can't even be bothered to smile while eating them. Smiling is wasted energy and she needs all the energy she can muster to shove the cupcake in her mouth and swallow in three minutes. I've actually never seen such a wild little look in her eyes...

Addy *LOVED* the videos of Caroline!!! She keep saying "gur, gur, gur, gur" over and over and pointing with her middle finger (as she does) at the screen. And then cried when it was over!!

Happy Birthday Caroline - looks like she had a ton of fun!
